Update 8: As of January 21, 2019

Update posted by Zaldy Mendova

In the protocol, Sey must be administered with L-ASPARAGINASE weekly for the entire intensification phase (6-9months). This is done though the outpatient unit and takes at least 4 hours to complete. Last week (Jan 18) would have been her 4th L-ASPA but she had a mild fever so she was sent home with prescription to take antibiotics; chemo was rescheduled on Monday (Jan 21). She already had her blood tested at Binangonan Lakeview Hospital before Jan 18, and as usual the numbers are outside the limits. But what's unusual is Sey's reaction, for the first time ever she did not shed a single tear. Maybe she's getting stronger or maybe getting numb.

Monday January 21, she was back in the hospital for the L-ASPA. Two unusual things happened; One, the needle insertion was a success in the first try (wow). Two, for the second time Sey did not cry during the insertion (wow again). This session was completed with no hassle. The total hospital bill is more than 20k, after Philhealth and PWD we paid more than 9k.

By now, based on the pattern of our expenses we can estimate the needed amount to fund the entire medication. It is still overwhelming, especially that we know all capable family and friends have already helped us one way or another. We know for a fact that there is a limit to what everyone can share. We know that you also have your needs and they are no less urgent than ours. But you can still help us by simply sharing the page to your friends, by inviting them to like the FB page. We know that there are more people out there with a golden heart just like you, and we just need a way to reach out to them. We kindly ask one more favor from you; please share the FB page with your friends. Help us put the page out there where more people can see it, for Sey.

Thank you and may your good deeds come back to you in many many folds.
