Update 7: As of January 11, 2019

Update posted by Zaldy Mendova

As of January 11 2019. The drug therapies for this week are TIT, Vincristine, Doxorubicin and L-Asparaginase.

She is required to have her blood tested before any procedure. She took the blood testing in Binangonan Lakeview Hospital last Sunday (15 minutes away from our house), this has been part of our routine. The numbers in the blood test result are always off the scale but the doctor’s reaction would always be ‘maganda result natin...’, so we stopped trying to interpret the result to keep us from worrying.

She was admitted last Monday January 07 in preparation for her TIT procedure on Tuesday. They also gave her Vincristine and Doxo, not sure which drug has caused her to vomit. She was taking a pee when it triggered; it made quite a mess in the rest room because the emesis basin has overflowed, she ate and drink a lot before it happened. Onco gave her something to help her fall asleep immediately via IV, she was sleeping like a baby in just a couple of minutes. She woke up the following morning and she was feeling okay.

We were discharged on Wednesday afternoon, but the entire day was just spent on waiting for our bill. The total hospital bill is around 44k, after Philhealth and PWD we paid a little more than 33k.

Today is Friday, January 11 2019. She was given L-ASPA in the outpatient unit, this time it took 3 tries to insert the needle properly. She cried a lot, someone from the other room must have heard her and gave her a chocolate. The relatives accompanying their patients in this unit especially the elderly women have a very soft spot for young patients. Some would really approach us and with teary eyes would offer words of encouragement and prayers. But we cannot be emotional when we are around Sey so we just say our thanks and move on. The total hospital bill is more than 20k, after Philhealth and PWD we paid almost 10k.

After L-ASPA while waiting for lolo to drive us home.

We kindly seek for you continuous financial assistance as we still have a long way to go.
