Juan Bass speaks about his Community Project

Update posted by Natalee Nassar

The Central Ohio Parent Leadership Training Institute's first cohort of Parent Leaders is over halfway through our training program. Phase I is complete and we have moved onto Phase II which focuses on policy, data analysis and the completion of our individual Community Project's. Each of our Parent Leaders recently had an opportunity to talk about their projects for 3 minutes in front of Gene Bailey, the VP of Membership for the City of Columbus Toastmasters Club.

We'd like to share some of our Parent Leaders speeches. Juan Bass has chosen to use his personal experiences to create a program to help restored citizens. His project, Lost and Found, will focus on creating and developing the relationships of families impacted by incarceration. Strengthening family bonds and providing emotional support to restored citizens during their reintegration to society is frequently overlooked. We are excited with all the work Mr. Bass has done and will continue to do with COPLTI.
