Update 01:

Update posted by Maria Rosallyn Lansang

Now on planning stage.

Already talked with some of the Elementary Teachers from Lubo Elementary School and Dacalan Elementary School. As per our conversation, construction materials are not the priority for now since they are still waiting for the plans and updates from Local Government Unit (LGU) and from Department of Education (DepEd), as what will be the next steps as far as re-construction of the damaged classrooms as well as other damaged school facilities is concerned.

Main reason for that is they are considering relocation of the two mentioned Elementary Schools, as it is no longer safe there due to soil condition where these Elementary Schools are located. That is per the observation and studies of the Division Engineers from the Government who did a site visit to the said schools few months ago.

I asked them as what are the school, teachers, and students badly need and they gave me options of what we can give to them.

The following is the list of possible things we can give/donate to the beneficiaries:

  • Learning materials like workbooks for some subjects (Filipino, English, Mathematics and Science): Preferably for each student (Kinder to Grade 6) and an extra copy for each teacher.
  • Composition writing notebooks for essay/paragraph writing (both for Filipino and English subjects): Preferably for each student (Grade 4 to Grade 6 only) and an extra copy for each teacher.
  • Take-home reading books for the students (both for Filipino and English subjects): Preferably for each student (Kinder to Grade 6).
  • Visual Charts for different subjects.
  • Manila Papers for teachers.
  • 250mm rubberized or HDPE hose (2 inches in diameter) and 1-2 pieces faucet: Requested by Dacalan Elementary School only. These will be used for the installation of drinking station cum washing area near the makeshift classrooms of the said school.

FYI.

Thank you very much for all the trust, support and help. :)
