This year hasn't really started for me & nor has my motorbike. It used to bring me down to my friend's shop for internet access. After New Year, I have been confined to the garage & it took the mechanic 2 weeks to conclude that low-electrolyte in one cell caused the starting problems, and battery was duly charged. This helped for 3 days & led me to conclude that the bike is not charging the battery.

Mobility has now become my primary concern, since I've evidently survived the cold of winter outdoors; but getting supplies & internet access are increasingly hard as funds have run out & I cannot afford a rectifier/regulator (to charge battery) or a start booster for jump starts. I've managed to borrow jumper cables, but people understandably want access to them for their own use. When I don't have them, the alternative is to stand in the driving rain waiting for a kind soul to stop & give me a lift home, while lugging a 7kg laptop bag. Since there is not much nightly traffic, this usually takes 2 hours by which time I arrive 'home' soaking wet.
