Safe water and sanitation program
Update posted by Md Al MamunLiberal Shikka Shastho Foundation has been strengthening different people’s movements and advocacy such as people’s movement for eradicating water logging in the North & South area in Bangladesh.
Activities
- Safe drinking water, sanitation for poor people of Bangladesh;
- Programs and research for the development of Indigenous people;
- Programs and research for Conservation of Biodiversity and Natural Resources;
- Advocacy on identified issues at local, national and if necessary, international levels;
- Identification of local resources and sustainable ways to utilize them for the benefit of the people;
- Adoption of Information Communication Technology (ICT), updating Web site, Monthly E-Newsletter and development of Digital Library;
- Monitoring International Financial Institutions (IFI)’s;
- Training cooperation for other organizations;

Trust implemented a project “Reinforce peoples Initiative in the waterlogged Areas and Demonstration on Hanging Gardening” to reinforce peoples initiatives for farmers, so that they can gradually be mobilized or raised people voice against international Financial Institutions (IFI)s impact of southwest region for creating critical consciousness and public discourse (October, 08-February, 2011) Completed activities of the project were.
