We left Taroko in the morning, rode on the Suhua Highway which is notorious for dark tunnels, big trucks, steep cliffs. It was dangerous yet scenic ride. As planned, we caught up with Lou, a very nice gentleman that we met along the journey, detoured from the highway, took train from Heping Station to Yilan and rode together all the way to Dali.
