Cause of bleeding, found

Doctors have finally determined the cause of bleeding: a bacterial infection, found on his severed intestines (which were originally operated on due to the gunshot.) He is still in much pain. He still has bloody stools, due to said infection. Doctors have no decided yet whether or not to open him up again.
