Hello good samaritans,. I am Sophia Nicole Grecia, 4 years old and I am currently battling with cancer.

My journey with cancer began in June 2018. At first, there were very few signs that there was anything wrong with me. But one thing my mama and papa noticed was that I had trouble with leg pains. Mama and papa thought this was because of the bicycle accident that I had encountered couple of months before I was diagnosed and figured maybe I was just being lazy and brat. But then I started losing appetite and my fever would go on and off and that’s when they decided to bring me to the Philippine Children’s Medical Center (PCMC) where they took xrays and blood works. Test confirmed that I have Acute Lymphoblastic Leukemia (ALL) and even though I didn’t know what that means, I saw how my mother was devastated after her meeting with my doctor.

We used to be a simple happy family. Papa and mama are pastors, my sister is the church’s musician and I used to be one of the happy kids who love singing on stage. Yes, our life may not that be simple anymore but no more than ever, we become closer to God. Everyday, my family prays for my healing while I pray for everyone’s strength as we face this battle.

My medications and chemo treatments may be the hardest challenge that I have to survive at this early age but I am not losing hope for I know God is with me. I would like my parents to see me grow up. I want them to see me graduate from college. I want them to see me become a doctor. But above all, I want them to see me alive, to see me survive this deadly disease.

I want to live longer and strong , LEUKEMIA FREE, Please help me make them a reality. My doctor said I need to undergo chemotherapy 3x a week for the next three years and I am not even sure if I could get them due to financial reasons. My parent’s income is just enough to cover our basic necessities and my medical condition has led to a serious financial hardship for my family. With that said, I am humbly knocking on your heart to please help me with my medication. Any amount, big or small, will be a step forward towards my chance of survival. Please give me the chance to survive. Please help me.
