Settling the bills and discharge

Update posted by Katrine Martinez

My mom had the operation 2 days ago & is scheduled to be discharged tomorrow, but during the surgery, there was an unexpected complication, urging the OB to call for an oncologist since my mom has a history of cancer. Then, to make things worse, during the blood transfusion after the surgery, my mom experienced reactions to the blood and had chest pains and trouble breathing, requiring more tests to be done. So now, our bills have increased way more than we ever imagined

As of now, our bills have already reached 77,000 PHP (approx. $1425) but this does not include the doctors and specialists’ professional fees yet. We have just talked to my mom’s OB and according to her, the doctors’ fees might reach 120,000 PHP (approx. $2222). My mom had a total of four doctors (her OB, the oncologist, the anesthesiologist, and the cardiologist), hence the fees. I have already reached out to PCSO (a social work and charity organization here) and they said that they can only shoulder 43,000 PHP (approx. $796).

Given these estimates, we might need to pay 154,000 PHP (approx $2851) but we only have 96k (approx $1777). This money includes what we’ve raised so far. So i am humbly knocking on your doors to help us settle our bills. Donations and sharing this link are greatly appreciated. Thank you very much.
