Please Help My Son

Update posted by Law Duan Han
has been a roller coaster ride of emotions for me and my wife, Diane for the past month although we are supposed to be the happiest parents at the arrival of our sixth bundle of joy, Jzian Marc Malaza. He had to stay for another week in the hospital so he can be incubated until his lungs are strong enough. He went home a well baby after one week. However, my wife's motherly instinct tells her otherwise. She observed that Jzian's tummy is unusually enlarged, so she consulted the doctor who recommended for an ultrasound and xray. As soon as the doctor saw the results of the tests, we were referred to a specialist at St Luke's hospital who recommended that Jzian be confined immediately. However, we knew we could not afford the cost of hospitalization there, so we went to look for a government hospital.Jzian was seen by a pediatric surgeon and a urologist who confirmed after all the scans and tests that he has Uterocele (a congenital abnormality found in the ureter) with Urosepsis (an infection that starts in the urinary tract and spreads into the bloodstream). At 5 weeks after birth, Jzian bravely underwent surgery. With God's grace, Jzian came out of the operating room victorious. However,a week after the surgery now, we are again faced with another obstacle to Jzian's recovery. He is diagnosed with Meningitis (Grade 1) due to the infection that is spreading through his bloodstream that has reached his brain. He is given antibiotics and medication intravenously to control the infection and continuous tests are done everyday to monitor his condition. As a father, I cannot fathom how his tiny body is taking all these but I know my little warrior is fighting... fighting very hard. The hospital will stop giving medication to Jzian anytime now, if the running bill is not settled. Thus, a friend have suggested that I start this fundraiser because at this point, I will exhaust all means I know in order to save the life of my little Jzian. I am an OFW working as a customer service personnel in a mobile company and our family survives solely from my monthly salary. I thank God that I am in a position where I am able to provide enough for my family but with what we are going through at this point, I can't do it alone anymore. Family members and friends have extended their help so far and I am truly grateful to them. I am sure that there are more kind souls with a big heart who are willing to fight this battle with me and my family. May God bless you a hundredfold for your gift of love for Baby Jzian.
