Chuy and Juanita Update

A little over a week ago we commenced this campaign for Chuy and Jaunita. Juanita had just been released from and Chuy was still in the hospital awaiting surgery. Since then, they’ve both made good progress towards full recovery but still are far from their normal lives.

Juanita is home, has had her surgical stitches removed from her arm and wisely rests her fractured coccyx and cheek bone

Chuy is back to work…part time…very part time. He can’t do anything involving weight. He’s basically relegated to a supervisory role. Even that tires him; when he starts to tire he wisely obeys his body and goes home to rest.

Our campaign for funds continues. It has a limit and the end date is September 15, 2018. In a little over a week we’ve had 11 donations totaling $3,200. That’s 35% of our goal; we consider that a very good start, but there’s still a ways to go to reach that objective.

Several people who have not given have told us that they will contribute to this cause. We encourage everyone who has not made a contribution to please do so. The sooner we reach our goal the sooner we can give the funds to Chuy so he can buy a new truck.

No contribution is too small. And nobody is keeping track of who gives and who doesn’t. Please help Chuy and Juanita.
