With our campaign now off to a solid start, we've just finished working out our route through North Korea and exactly where we're planning to ride. We're splitting our time between 4 places, starting with some no-doubt eye-opening cultural experiences in the capital Pyongyang, before basing ourselves at the foot of Mount Myohyang for a few days to explore the rocky trails that rise above thick deciduous forest . A visit to the "international Friendship Museum" here is a must, we're told.

Then we'll jump on a once-per-year flight to the far east corner of North Korea and the highest peak on the peninsular, Mount Paekdu, where Harald will no doubt humble us with his extreme riding skills. Then we'll finish up on the coast at Chilbosan staying with a family for a real insight into North Korean life, while giving us chance to ride some challenging rock gardens in the nearby hills.

Then its back to Pyongyang for some "Wish you were here" postcard shopping.
