Bone marrow aspirate - 5/6/2018

Update posted by Clarice Fritz Caliwatan Canonigo

Been a week that Drew has been fever free and we’re very thankful for this. This is something for us since before we only had two days in between admissions for his chemo sessions. Fever could mean two things, infection or the leukemia is wreaking havoc. Today, two little tubes of bone marrow aspirate were taken to see if he is in remission. Hoping he will so we can go ahead with the transplant as planned. Meantime as we are still putting up the needed amount for the transplant, he’ll be admitted again to have another chemo cycle to ensure those leukemic cells don’t go multiplying while we are still prepping for that much needed transplant.
