We need to give a huge thank you to you all, from everyone who walked the world to people who have helped spread awareness of JIDC. We have decided to continue our funding campaign, with walk the world being the first of many events.

We continued the success of the walk with a bake off at our JIDC UK base – Well, we had to ensure we gained all that weight back after the 5km burn. All the bakes were absolutely amazing, so another thank you to all our bakers and to everyone who came along to taste the bakes and donate to the “Save Our JIDC” campaign. We raised an amazing £261.79! This wonderful event has pushed our total donations to over £4000!

We had voting in the four categories – the winners were:

Yummiest savoury bake: James Goillau (Focaccia stadium & pesto pitch in tribute to the world cup)

Prettiest savoury bake: Celina Dietrich (Braided bread)

Yummiest sweet bake: Martyn Webb (Millionaires shortbread)

Prettiest sweet bake: Our own Gemma Langridge (Chocolate & raspberry chequerboard cake)
