My beautiful Mommy Zeny was diagnosed with Acute Myelogenous Leukemia last April 2018. Words cannot express the torment I felt inside. It has changed me forever. My whole world came crashing down around me. We were all devastated, but Mommy is a fighter! She battled through the chemo treatments, bone marrow biopsies, blood transfusions, and the weekly, sometimes daily lab draws. All of her hair fell out but that didn’t faze her at all. When it started coming out in clumps, I shaved her head and I can honestly say that she was way more beautiful to me in that moment than she’d ever been. She fought hard, and finally, we thought we’d won! She has been in remission for the last few months, but during a routine check-up on Friday, our lives were forever changed again as the report came back that the leukemia has invaded her blood again. We never thought she would have to go through this again, especially this soon, a mere months before her cured date.

We are not yet finished paying off medical bills from the last time that crippled us financially. Now, we face it again just when we thought the storm had passed. We are told that Mommy will need to go induction chemotheraphy again and should start asap since she is in critical condition now. She will be hospitalized for a month or more. My work is affected because I have to leave for long periods while she is fighting again. I will need to be home with my son also, who is 2 years old and doesn’t understand what is really happening. Medical bills this time are astounding with each dose at 140k plus hospital stays. I have always been a good hustler but this is much bigger than I am and we need help. At this point, I am willing to do anything to save my Mommy. Any help would go a long way. We are eternally grateful for everyone's support, whether financial or a kind word, it will take a village to help Mommy win this battle. Thank you so much for all the love.
