Paralysed kitten dumped at market, Mother and kittens diagnosed with Sporotrichosis

Update posted by Josephine Lim

While many of us celebrated Raya and long weekend holiday, shelter owner, Aifaa (or rather known as Coco) was busy attending to hundreds of cats and dogs in her 3 shelters.

Just last week, Coco received a call regarding a paralysed kitten someone dumped at the market. The kitten is now with her, needs immediate treatment.

Bad news, mother cat and 3 kittens she rescued earlier - diagnosed with Sporotrichosis. She had to arrange pet taxi RM 500 (transport from Penang to KL) and fork out RM 500 for 1st treatment with Sheniarisan Sporotrichosis Feline Rescuer. This centre is experienced with Sporo cases and many had healed.

It's ongoing treatment and each month estimate to cost around RM 1k.

No Raya celebration for Coco for 16 years ever since she started her rescue mission for these Furry Kids.

This Raya holiday meant MORE work for her as a lot of cats were abandoned. She has also some petsitting to do on top of handling her shelters with over 400 cats.

Her only hope is that some of us, spend a little time, give a little of what we can to these 4 legged. Her only hope is a SECOND chance for them.
