Sleep tight, our Little Heart Warrior

Our little heart warrior has earned her unicorn wings and went to God’s arms.

Ezra was discharged from hospital yesterday and was welcomed by her family in Pasig with balloons and toys. She was so happy playing and did not even want to sleep at 1 AM.

This morning, everyone was preparing for a big lunch to celebrate her successful operation and discharge from the hospital. Meanwhile, Ezra gave us a big toothless smile because she was finally reunited with her cousin and played her new luto-lutuan toy. Her daddy noticed she was getting tired so he checked her oxygen level and found out it’s low. Ezra also said that her foot was hurting - her usual complaint when she’ll have tet spell (attack). After few minutes, she became unconscious. She was provided oxygen in the house. Her oxygen level was slowly increasing but not yet to the normal level. However, her heart rate started to slow down which never happened during her attacks. The family decided to bring her back to Philippine Heart Center but as advised by her cardiologist, she needs to be brought to the nearest hospital. When she got into the ER of Pasig Doctors Medical Center, her PHC cardio coordinated with PDMC on what to do/give to Ezra. From the time she left the house, she never regained consciousness. She went flatline so she was resuscitated and was injected epinephrine for about eight times - still no cardiac activity. The family decided to stop the resuscitation so Ezra can finally be at peace - no more pain.

We are truly grateful for all those who prayed, donated and, joined us in Ezra’s short journey. We hope you can still help the family in her medical and funeral bills.

Thank you!
