Riggs Update.

Update posted by Rugaz Rescue Inc

As he settles into his medical foster home, they are setting up a routine to spend some time in the mornings as the sun rises to get some fresh air while his wounds and eyes are being flushed.

This morning... He lifted his head and held it high! This is the first time in 3 days he has had the strength to stay up for any length of time!

The swelling around his face has dropped 1/4th of an inch all around, and the neck swelling is still the same, but we are making progress. Small, but mighty progress!

Riggs will to fight and live is one of the strongest we have ever seen. Today he started wagging his little nubby tail every time he hears his foster mom. He know's he's safe and that we are all fighting with him.

As long as he continues to make these little progressions into the better he will have another large full panel of bloodwork this Friday and we are hoping swelling may be down enough to be able to examine his eyes fully but we're not sure if it will be. We're trying to be very hopeful!

It is a daily struggle and battle to keep Riggs strong, but we are all in this fight together! Because of you helping us fight for him it is possible!

ANY and ALL donations are appreciated. Nothing is too small! Donations can also be made directly to our Veterinarian office at:

Animal Hospital of Regency Park 7741 Congress Street New Port Richey, FL 34653 (727)848-6247

Without you, we wouldn't be able to help them!
