What is Forward Dyson doing in 2018?

Update posted by Evey Budden

Amongst others, our leading projects in 2018 include:

• Peru Jungle Ultra 2018: To raise awareness for our campaign, Sean Budden (President of STC Forward Dyson), will compete in the Peru Jungle Ultra. A 230km footrace in the Amazon Rainforest, carrying all food and equipment for 5 days. It is hoped that this endeavour will help highlight the importance of global sustainability and maintenance of our wild eco systems. [No donated funds will go toward this event's running cost]

• Charity rally tour: A team of Dyson volunteers will complete a road trip from Singapore to Penang via Kuala Lumpur. Along the way we will stop to deliver aid and raise morale at an elderly care home, feed the homeless, provide manual labour support to wildlife projects and help to educate orphans.

• Charity expedition: We intend to send a team to a remote region in SEA to assist communities in need within the countries where Dyson operates. In doing this we hope to bring Dyson ingenuity and engineering expertise to some of the world’s most chronic problems. [Donated funds will go towards the charity projects only, not the expedition costs]

• Coastal clean-up: This will involve Dyson volunteers removing plastic and general waste from the local coast and river ways, while educating the community on the importance of proper waste disposal and recycling. The first clean-up event was successfully run on 18 May, removing over 150kg of waste from Changi Beach Park! Stay tuned for future chances to get involved.

These projects will not only help the people we directly reach but also set a standard for the future of Forward Dyson and hopefully any other companies or people who are influenced by our campaign. Your support will change the lives of thousands of people and have a lasting impact for generations.

Thank you
