A Mother Living in God's Miracle

Update posted by George Dabu

In the past weeks our family went through a painful experience. That was when mom's new catheter insertion appointment was cancelled, because she can no longer respond accordingly to us and she's very weak. We cannot even move her from the sofa going to the wheelchair to the car. She's so weak. She slept for a week or so, not even asking for food and water. We've prayed hard and we lifted her life to the Lord . After a week she just asked for water and food and even asks us to help her sit again. It was a miracle, because we thought she would go anytime during the previous week.

She missed out 14 dialysis sessions then before deciding to go back to the dialysis center. We let her decide and she asked us to bring her to the center again. Before her turn, the doctor checked her first to see if she's responding and if she's loaded with fluid ( being absent from dialysis for 14 sessions is a big thing for dialysis patients). Most of them cannot survive missing out a session. Truly our lives depends on the Lord, we cannot tell when our time has come. Mom is a living testimony that miracles do happen in our lives everyday.Even in her weakest, the Lord made His way to lift her up, give her strength and bring her back to her senses.

She is now back to her regular dialysis routine. We thank everyone for praying for our family for strength and provisions. Mom has a new catheter, it was done Saturday ( May 12) morning in Providence Hospital. We allowed her to regain her strength first before we have it scheduled. Thanks to those who helped us raise the funds for the new Catheter.

Now we are in need of help again for funds. Her fistula cannot be used anymore. The vein is so thin and the vibration just stopped. The Vascular surgeon wants a graft to be inserted through an operation. It's an artificial vein that she will use for the dialysis sessions. She needs the graft because the catheter she has is not a permanent one. Eventually, it will be infected and she needs to have the graft access very soon. The quotation given by the doctor is way too costly for us to afford. But we are confident that the Lord will work in miraculous ways again to lead us to the right people who could help us raise the funds that we need.
