First off,

A BIG thank you to all who have donated here on and off the campaign page! I've been so blessed and have received a total of $10,995.00 in donations!

I am so thankful to everyone that my campaign was successful in acquiring the necessary funds in order to pay the retainer for a family lawyer. Now I just need to meet with the one I have selected from multiple interviews and I will keep you updated on how things progress.

Here are a few cute photos from my visit with Damian on Thursday this week.

Damian: Kate (John's sister, Damian's aunt) has informed me that Damian is doing very well and growing so much! He loves chicken and brown rice soup, beef and potato stew, pork and sweet potatoes, whole wheat spaghetti with meat sauce and black bean soup. He also loves yogurt, applesauce, smoothies with berries and mango, bananas and oatmeal, carrots, peas, green beans, avocado, cantaloupe, pears and watermelon. She stirs my breast milk in with almost everything he eats. Kate tells me that he drinks about five bottles of breast milk a day and occasionally has a bottle of formula if we are out and run out of milk. He takes two naps a day and is sleeping through the night. Recently, he has been sitting up for very long stretches by himself and still rolls around a lot at Kate's house. He laughs, plays, grabs at everything all day long and constantly interacts and delights in his cousins!

She also has informed me that Dr. Korn from BC Children's Hospital said his left arm is healed. He has instructed her to get Damian to use his left arm more by doing exercises that use his left arm like passing toys to his left hand. When he is sitting up we are to place a pillow on his left side as he tends to lean over when sitting in a highchair.

MCFD: Yesterday, March 1st, John and I and the MCFD were at court. John and I both decided to contest the order that the MCFD were seeking to remove our legal guardianship. Our court date for the hearing is May 28th, 2018. On that court date the MCFD will present their case for why they wish to remove Damian from my care as well as John's.

RCMP: We have not received any information from the RCMP as to what is going on with the case against John and the case against myself.
