Despite the ongoing extreme drought conditions we are experiencing in the Western Cape, we continue to persevere toward our dream. Our garden has taken much strain yet is still holding strong!

Our recent addition of certain companion plants has deterred many critters yet we still have to find the right mixture to save our pumpkins! Our mielies(corn) unfortunately didn't survive the harsh conditions yet our radish is seeding beautifully(for our next sowing) and the amaranth (middle) seems to absolutely adore our special compost mix! How wonderful it would be to have an irrigation system to transform this budding food forest!
