Idiopathic tremor syndrome.

Update posted by Rugaz Rescue Inc

We have a pup-date with Mr Zero.

Boy have we been working our butts off trying to find the cause of his "seizures", and along the way we did find a few things we have to address but the main thing right now is we have a diagnosis!

Idiopathic tremor syndrome. The good and the bad of this is, nothing is actually causing a "seizure" in Zero. All his bloodwork/Ultrasounds and Xrays came out clear for anything underlining to cause a seizure. After many videos, daily check up's and a Neurological consult we found out it's all completely Idiopathic.

What does this mean for Zero? Well, there is no defined cause for this syndrome so unfortunately we don't really know where it comes from. The great thing is, it causes him absolutely no pain. It only causes him to be dazed for the 5-10 seconds an episode occurs and then he goes back to completely normal.

There are no medications for this syndrome, or a cure. So sadly, it's just something Zero will live out his days with, but his Hospice momma says she doesn't care, she's going to make him bumpers! (No, seriously she said she was! So if anyone know's of a padded Vest/type protection wear we are now on the look out for one!)

While that's great news that Zero! We did find in our Ultrasounds that his Gallbladder is not functioning properly and is full of sludge. So he is now placed on life-long daily medication to help his gallbladder process all the sludge out and hopefully not cause any issues in the future.

Zero will have to go in for regular check ups for Neurology, and continue his daily medications for his gallbladder, dry eyes and skin... but over all! He is going to be able to enjoy some happy now medically managed time in his Golden years!

...and that is what Project Golden Years is all about!

We are now searching for monthly sponsor's for Zero's hospice care. Total monthly medications are $75.00 If you, or someone you know would like to become a monthly sponsor towards Zero's hospice care please message us directly or visit:
