Update of our progress over the past few weeks
Well it’s been a very productive few weeks, we had a volunteer from Turkey, Alper, stay with us for 5 days. He made his mission collecting the scattered burnt stuff and cutting back dead trees to make way for us to plant new ones. Soon after Alper arrived, Char & Foz, godsends in a blue camper, came to help, they stayed with us for 2 weeks and in that time they did loads. Cleared all that could be from around the Ark, seeded burnt areas, planted and watered trees, bashed in posts and screwed in tape holders to help us get closer to a bigger field for the horses, one of my missions this week is to finish it, they cooked yummy meals, helped in the veggie garden ,cleared brambles to allow more grass to grow and did so much more as well. Christina came to stay and together with Charlotte & Foz held the fort for Adam and I whilst we went away for 3 days for my 40th birthday and recharged our batteries. I am so grateful for that time of being able to recharge, relax and process all that has happened.
Adam and I have been planting, seeding, gardening, searching for hay, bashing posts, and managed to make another small horse area for the horses so they have a little more freedom until the bigger area is ready, along with many other daily jobs. The seeds that we planted a few weeks ago plus the ones already in the ground have been breaking through the blackness, now in many places there is a welcome blanket of green.
We picked up trees from Andrea that were donated by the seed bank in Porto, as well as 10 strawberry trees donated by Wojtek Lysakowski , and this morning I have bought 100 trees from steve in Lidls carpark. Just me at the farm this week and with rain forecast for tomorrow I have a lot of planting to do this afternoon............ more about that in my next update.

Thank you all for your donations, love and support, its hard work and its going to take time, but we will make this Quinta (farm) beautiful and productive again.................
