Molly inspects the new poles

Update posted by Annabel Street

Hello from us all,

Thank you so much for all your generous donations we are truly grateful. Today we bought 150 poles to start the process of re fencing the farm, We will start with fencing a safe area for the horses as I think they are truly fed up with being in the dog garden. Molly is super happy with her replacement head collar which I found in a little shop on the spanish border, she can now be free on the land and if she does wander onto the neighbours land it's easy to bring her back. Tomorrow morning I will put the poles in and get the electric fencing set up, hopefully 400m of tape, and a solar fence energiser arriving tomorrow. Then in the evening I will drive to Spain again to get more hay. Adam has done an amazing job cleaning up the caravan that burnt, he has cut the chasi into bits and brought all the other debris up to the gate, so we can take it to the scrap man, we have also almost cleared 3 terraces nearer to the house that must have been a dumping ground for the previous owners, in turning over the soil we discovered old bikes, pots, loads of broken glass that is dangerou for the animals and even a washing machine, Adam has also started to clear and turn over some of the burnt soil that used to be a hedge near the house ready for us to plant fire resistant trees, so as to give privacy but not be a danger.

Such a long journey ahead of us, but with your help we are able to start walking the path back to where we where before the fire, hopefully making the farm even more beautiful as we do.

We thank you all so much. You have made this possible. With much love and gratitude in our hearts we wish you all a lovely evening x
