Why does The 9th Day need funds

Update posted by Simonne Miller

The 9th Day is a Rescue, Rehabilitation and Rehoming Centre situate in Krugersdorp, South Africa. They have been in existence since 2015 and have been saving the abused, neglected and lost animals everyday and all day ever since then. The 9th Day currently finds themselves in an extremely dire situation in that:-

1. They will no longer have premises to keep all (approx. 170) animals safe, warm and fed;

2. Their veterinary bill is currently R81 000.00 and if not paid, all veterinary services will be suspended and without these services, the abused, ill and neglected animals will not be able to receive the necessary treatment;

3. The founder of The 9th Day, Charmaine Booysens was in an accident yesterday, and unfortunately her only transport (to do home checks, rescue and transport animals) was written off.

Should The 9th Day not find alternative premises before November 2017, all the animals under their care will have little to no chance of surviving as they will have no safe haven anymore, furthermore The 9th Day is the only rescue centre in the West Rand that physically rescue dogs themselves (run around in the streets from dusk to dawn, weeks on end looking for the lost, abused, neglected and ill dogs) and without them, the animals of the West Rand will have little to no chance of being saved.

The West Rand needs The 9th Day, and I am begging that you please reach out and give what you can, even if it is R50, ANY donation will help.

Should you require any further information, you are welcome to contact me on [email protected]

I extend lots of love, blessings and prayer to you and thank you in advance for assisting us in saving our fur kids with the help of The 9th Day.
