Greetings, all.

Once again, it's truly impossible for this overly-emotional new dad to thank everyone for your support of my family over the past two weeks. We will certainly try the best we can over these next couple of weeks to reach out to you individually to thank you for all you have done.

So, this will probably be the last update from Addis. We have completed all of the medical exams and paperwork, and earlier today, we interviewed at the United States Embassy and should be receiving Getch's visa tomorrow morning. Our flight leaves tomorrow night for Frankfurt (LH 9695) and then from Frankfort to Atlanta (LH 444) on Thursday morning. We are scheduled to arrive in Atlanta at 2:20 PM on Thursday.

If any of you would like and are able, you are welcome to meet us at the airport on Thursday. There should probably be a gaggle of folks there who we wouldn't be able to deter even if we wanted, and feel free to join them. I am truly terrified I am going to get ugly-faced emotional, so if you want to avoid that, feel no guilt at staying home and watching Judge Judy.

Getch has expressed his excitement at meeting a lot new folks, but he is pretty shy when he first meets new people. We've never done this before, but I'm guessing we probably won't be hanging around too terribly long to keep from overwhelming an already-by-then travel-weary little boy (and probably his parents).

We appreciate your continued prayers and are excited about introducing Getachew to his new family and friends.
