Hello, all. Just wanted to give a quick update and let you all know how overwhelmed we have been with your support, encouragement, and prayers.

After arriving in Addis early Thursday morning, we checked in at the guest house where we’re staying and then went to the orphanage where Getachew was living. We met him for the first time (!!!) along with several of the other children from the orphanage and their caretakers. After lunch, we came back to the orphanage for a second visit, played some soccer, and thumb wrestled a bit before we left and returned to the guest house.

We spent the evening resting and catching up on sleep. This morning, Getachew was brought over to the guest house for a third visit and then we all went to court. Thanks to your prayers and the steadfast love of the Lord, we passed court on the very last day they were open.

THEN, after a celebratory lunch with our guide and driver, we returned to the guest house with our SON. We spent the afternoon and evening trying to figure out what the magillicuddy each other were saying, wearing funny hats and glasses, and doing soccer footwork drills across the living room floor.

There’s a lot of tedious steps left before we get to come home, but we are able to move forward knowing that the God of Creation and the God of our Salvation is also the good Father of Providence. He has wind, sea, princes, and judges he can move as he chooses.
