Struggling, but fighting.

Update posted by Nicole Bryan

It's been a little over a month since the surgery. Since then, well, it's been a fight.
Without going into too many details, my living situation drastically changed due to abandonment and I am now facing homelessness because no apartment application can or has been approved due to the 3x rent income requirement. I cannot receive more than $700 per month because I became disabled before I was able to build up social security and with rent and other essential costs at around $1,300 a month it's beyond impossible to survive, much less make ends meet.
As if all that wasn't enough, it's becoming apparent that the emergency surgery from last month was not enough to truly get me to the place I hoped it would. The numbness I developed post surgery has only spread and has not gone away as hoped. My pain levels have been.... I can't even think through the pain and I'm lucky if I can get a shower once a week. It's very likely that I'm looking at a shunt placement before or by the end of the year.
I'm not saying all this to ask for more. I'm not. But, it is an update. And I have changed the campaign to no deadline. If you feel that you can spare a dollar or more, trust me, there will be no person on earth as appreciative as me. I don't think I have ever been in such a desperate situation as I am right now.
I don't expect any more donations on here, but if there are, I promise they will go to medical bills, rent, only absolutely essential costs. I just felt it was important to give something of an update.
Also, to those who are on the list for rewards, please know they are coming. I can't afford to ship anything right now, but I promise you WILL get them as soon as things (hopefully) stabilize enough that I don't have to conserve every dollar I can.
Most importantly though, thank you so much to everyone who donated. Though it didn't have quite the effect I was hoping, I would not be here right now if not for that surgery and I would not have even found out I had another blocked artery if it had not been for your help in getting me up to Virginia. So thank you. Thank you so much.
