Updates! And actual ones this time.

Update posted by Pete A

So, as it's the last day before the fundraiser ends, it's time for a few things:

  1. First off: Thanks for all your amazing support folks. All the love and caring eveyone showed me this past week was beyond anything I could have asked for. Whether you donated a single dollar or spread the word by sharing the link around, but most importantly all the kind words and messages you sent my way. It was beyond and out of this world, and made me cry a few times.
  2. Sometimes even math people make math mistakes. In my case, I didn't math out processing fees well enough, but it didn't end up hurting things too much. Still gonna reach the objective and all that.
  3. As of yesterday, I payed most of my outstanding debts, and as such, not hurting as badly. Not entirely out of the woods just yet, but well on my way to being in a good place. Once again, thanks for all your help.
  4. Instead of getting an old macbook like I planned on, I adjusted for a Acer laptop, which has all I need and is considerably cheaper (see: badly calculated processing fees). Best of all, it's also new. Now to see how long it takes to get here.

It's been a rough few months. Had all of my hospital stays and visits, all the job stresses and misfortunes in life. Like I said, I made my health go down really badly. I honestly didn't know if I'd make it to the end of the year. But lately, something strange has been happening. I've been starting to... feel good. A bunch of awesome people are in my life, whether new or old friends. They picked me up from where I was, set me on the right path. Things started to click, like a new job opportunity that was sudden and exciting. And then someone finally convinced me to not be a proud fool and ask for help via this. So things are finally on a upswing for me. Like I also said, not entirely out of the woods just yet, but thanks to all your awesome support, well on my way.

Thanks for making me a happy man when I was feeling down. I really needed it.

All the love,

Pete
