Update - Truck is safe for now
Update posted by Jason CrouchDetailed update on our fundraiser:
I spoke today with the financing company for our friend's truck, and I paid enough to keep them from repossessing the vehicle this month ($1085). There are still late fees to the tune of $561 which can be paid later, but I asked them to please consider waiving all or at least part of this because of Darrell's extenuating medical circumstances. I will check back in a few days to see if that is approved. If not, we plan to pay that amount on his behalf as well.
Beyond that, Darrell also owes another $1000 or so in business taxes and I think this has already started to interest penalties because it was due in April.
We managed to raise $1960 toward our original $3000 goal. I can contribute some ministry funds through our church ($563 available), but we could certainly still use a little help to make sure we cover the full amount needed plus online fundraising fees.
We were also hoping to have a little extra to give to Darrell just for "normal" expenses as well. Clearly, things are very tight right now for him. I simply want him to be able to keep working.
The bottom line is that we can still use your help if you are willing/able to give. As always with our ministry efforts, fully 100% of the money we receive will go directly to someone in need. We have no overhead, salaries, etc. We also cover our own expenses and we donate our time.
Thank you for reading and may God bless your day.
