A key development

Update posted by Barnett Survivors Limited

We have been unable to make a new campaign update until now, exactly three years to the day since James Barnett, the director of Barnett Survivors Limited, met with detectives to begin a reinvestigation into Mark's case.

We are pleased to announce, that following protracted negotiations, the British Transport Police have now admitted culpability for their role in implicating an innocent man, and have settled out of court in what is apparently the largest settlement by the British Transport Police in over a decade, and perhaps ever. Mark's case was spoken about in those terms.

This completes Phase One of Mark's case; we now move to Phase Two, which concerns the CPS bringing this false matter to trial. Phase One took 4 years of battle, with many twists and turns, and it is worth mentioning at this stage that the OIC, officer in charge, of Mark's case, is not a police officer anymore and never can be again.

There is much that we have been unable to talk about until now, such as a prominent London barrister losing the case file and really poor legal advice from another London barrister who thought he knew better than Barnett Survivors Limited.
