Outcome of meeting with senior detectives and investigators on Halloween

Update posted by Barnett Survivors Limited

Founder and Director of Barnett Survivors Limited, James Barnett, met with senior detectives and investigators at a police station in London on 31st October 2017, to discuss the reinvestigation into Mark Pearson's case. The officers requested Mr Barnett's entire case file on Mr Pearson, for duplication, and the reinvestigation / complaint proceeds on slightly more allegations than before as a result. It was a largely positive meeting and the officers from outside of the south of England seemed to grasp the severity of what was alleged, and recognised an IPCC complaint alleging perverting the course of justice had been upheld. In terms of CPS collusion into this case, it will be the Attorney General to investigate that, but these detectives can look into relevant aspects of CPS conduct without having the power themselves to do anything about it.

At this stage, it is impossible to offer any sort of timeframe for the conclusion of this reinvestigation as there is a huge amount of evidence to assess and investigate, but updates will be posted as and when they come in.
