OMG, first of all, THANK YOU. Thank you to each and every one of you out there who has donated to my campaign so far! I can't believe how kind and generous people are being - thank you all from the bottom of my heart! <3

Now, nearly seven weeks post-surgery, I'm finally physically and mentally bendy/adept enough to get on here with a brief update (chaotic back-to-voluntary-job week!). It's been a pretty icky time since my surgery, but despite repeated infections, still-leaking wounds, way too many boring hospital visits, likely a second minor surgery to come, and so on, I'm starting to wake up from the greyness of constant discomfort and pain to - wow - a sense of awesome freedom (from, you know, those... chest things) and strength in my new, improved-work-in-progress body. And that's an amazing feeling. And thank you to every one of my friends who has supported me in every or any way to get to this point in my life.

The realities of my long-term health problems and their interaction with recovery from surgery - and the realities of things I still need to raise money for now mean I've extended the length of my fundraiser and I'll be putting up a fuller campaign update up shortly to let you all know what costs have been covered so far, what I've had plenty of time to rethink on, and what I still deeply need help in covering the cost of. Plus, some amusing photographs to entertain you from my adventure so far.
