"When I was homeless, my home was the rugby pitch. The mud was my carpet, and the posts my front door. The girls on the pitch were my neighbours, room mates, and friends when no one else could be. They gave me a reason to fight, and that didn’t end after 80 minutes. Something like that stays with you forever: a team like that becomes family. It’s also the only legal means I have to violently attack 15 other people – it’s kind of addictive."
