With winter moving closer, I decided to help with getting some protective paint down since the basement has never been treated.

Thanks to Candie's grandmother, she bought the paint, just "Handy Andy" here had to do the painting, lol. Luckily I found a couple of dry days to get a few coats on. I decided to clean up the garden a bit. I think it's safe to say its a mild improvement, but hey, it's all baby steps.

In the spring, Candie's grandmother wants to clean up the deck, have a few boards replaced and have it waterproofed and repainted gloss white.

Inside, we have been using primer to cover over plywood panelling that has never been painted and makes the upstairs looks pretty dark. The primer instantly made the place look brighter and now we're looking at the right kind of paint to bring everything out more.

We also hired a refuse collector and removed a truck load of clutter from the basement opening it up.

We have a long way to go, but with each visit I make, the closer we get.
