Armand had his port implant (https://www.whatnext.com/cc/What_is_a_Chemo_Port) operation done yesterday, and we are happy to report that all went well. Through this port Armand will now receive the chemo.

At the moment Armand feels comfortable and the cortisone he is taking seems to be helping to bring down the swelling of his milt and liver. His skin colour has also returned to normal so, this is a good indication that his liver is functioning better, even though the cancer cells have now spread there.

With all of this, the doctor suggested that Armand not wait any longer and today, 31 January 2017, will be the first day of chemo for Armand. We now wait to see how Armand reacts to the chemo and will keep everyone updated as we have more information.
