SF Tremors Tigers Go 7-1 at Colorado Crossroads and Take 9th Place at National Event

Update posted by Mark Cushey

The Tigers finished in 9th place (out of 128 teams) & in the Gold division in the 14 American Division at Colorado Crossroads. Though they had hoped to win the tournament and get an automatic bid to the Junior Nationals, they played well and were in the running to win it all on the last day.

On Sat and Sun, they won all their matches in 2 sets going 7-0 – coming back twice to knock off the #5 seed in two sets. On Monday, they were in the Gold Division Bracket but lost in 3 sets to Wave 14-1 Pro from Florida. Lots of back and forth throughout all 3 sets of that final match and the girls played hard and each of them had multiple highlights.

The team was short-handed with three players out and several players playing with the flu but still ended up in the top 10. They hope to build on this and do even better at the SoCal Qualifier in Las Vegas.

For the fundraiser, we passed the $1,500 mark! Thank you everyone … and we hope to continue to raise money for Las Vegas in April. Thank you again for your support.
