WHERE DID THE INSPIRATION FOR THE UNITE US SONG ORIGINATE FROM?

The 'Unite Us' song is dedicated to my dearest Guru 'His Holiness Shree Shiv Krupanand Swami', his wife 'Guru Ma' and all those seeking peace and harmony across the world. My Guru has blessed me with the gift of spiritual knowledge and growth, helping me to develop and transform positively in all areas of my life since I first started practising a technique called Samarpan Meditation in 2001.

I was inspired to write the “Unite Us” song at a 8 day shibir (discourses) held in Ajmer, India in December 2008. Whilst meditating I started writing the song and the words just flowed effortlessly, which to me seems like the song has been infused with universal consciousness and gifted from the higher powers.

The aim was to convey the message that whatever religious or cultural background you come from, whatever spiritual path you follow, we are all Children of God and the song represents a set of powerful prayers encouraging people to unite. I sincerely wish that the “Unite Us” song which includes some of the world’s most powerful prayers and mantras will inspire people to develop strong friendships, peace and harmony across the world”.
