Tests

Update posted by Victoria Gower

Megapig has had her first round of tests costing £75. It seems that the blood in her urine is not infection and the test results came back with no clear answers. I'm waiting to talk to my vet a second time who has been discussing further details for us with the lab. It may now require an ultrasound scan to determine potential cause of the bleeding.

In the meantime, Megapig is happy in herself, active and not displaying outward signs of pain or illness. Guinea pigs are notorious for hiding illness and often die on their owners after seeming fine, but she has definitely improved in her physical/emotional state since I first discovered the issue which has us all baffled. She has just recently put on a little weight too which is a positive sign.

Here she is with her new best friend, Pog.
