I am absolutely amazed at the generosity of people and how many friends and family have supported my sister Leanne and brother in-law Simon over the past year. Thank you kindly :)

Layla is still growing strong and doing amazingly, however has been in and out of hospital since she was born. She was diagnosed with chronic lung disease, which she will hopefully grow out of as she gets bigger and her immune system gets stronger, Retinopathy of prematurity (ROP), which is a disease in the eye in premature babies, which resulted in Layla having laser eye surgery in both eyes and without it she would of gone blind. A heart murmur was detected also but was closely monitored and it closed on its own and a bleed on the brain but thankfully it absorbed on it's own. Layla now weighs a whopping 8lb 110zs - However, currently in hospital being treated for bronchiolitis again as she was over the Christmas period too.

With 2 older children to care for, as well as going back and forth to the hospital I don't feel Leanne has really had the opportunity to endure her bereavment properly for dear Angel, but has shown tremendous amounts of strength and mental durability.

Leanne's maternity leave is due to finish in a couple of months, but due to Layla's 24/7care and needs she is taking a couple of years out to care for her before returning back to work.

As well as the excessive cost of the headstone, there are labour costs to the stonemason company, inscription costs and the £450 fee to the local council to give them the authority to have the headstone in the first place.

Leanne and Simon are looking to have the headstone laid on Angel's memorial/Layla's 1st Birthday in July, any donations no matter how small would be immensely appreciated.
