RAMADAN DONATION

Update posted by islamic help

Ramadan brings us many things. Abundant blessings for one, as Muslims fast and devote most of their time in prayer and reflection. There are many aspects of Ramadan that people look forward to. Breaking their fast with their loved ones every day; performing Taraweeh prayers after Isha; celebrating the festivities of Eid-ul-Fitr with loved ones together; reciting the Holy Qur’an in its entirety. These are but a few of the blessings brought by Ramadan.

THE PROSPECT OF GIVING CHARITY

Giving charity is a great deed. In Ramadan, however the prospect of giving charity is heightened immensely as people tend to donate more generously during this month of blessings. The reward for every good deed done during this month is multiplied manifold, which is why Muslims from around the world donate their Zakat graciously to play their part in strengthening the Muslim Ummah. There is an ever-present need for this as well.

There are many parts of the world where Muslims are living in dire conditions and facing desperate situations. It is imperative that we do our part to ensure their well-being. Ramadan concludes with the festivities of Eid-ul-Fitr during which all Muslims celebrate with family and loved ones. We want to make sure those who are less fortunate also have a reason to smile and rejoice. Like the people of Palestine, the refugees of Syria or our Muslim brothers and sisters in Myanmar. These are all places that require constant relief aid. Muslim Aid is undertaking different types of development projects in these areas and working with parties on the ground to ensure aid gets to the intended recipients. However, we need to do more.

This Ramadan, we urge our supporters to get involved in Muslim Aid’s different campaigns. Visit our new blog for frequent updates and contact us for the latest information on a particular program. Your Ramadan donation will be well spent in providing medical care for the elderly, food and shelter for refugees and schooling for children. Please, get involved today!
