Maleree got to come home today after having surgery this past Wednesday! There are side effects that have affected her eyes, but we are hoping for complete recovery.

And you…you are all simply amazing! The slogan for brain cancer is “No One Fights Alone!” which is so very appropriate and true. The generosity and love you have shown this Dad & his baby continue to be overwhelming. For anyone who is self-employed, you know what it means to take off work to deal with “life”. Because of your generous donations, Maleree’s daddy has been able to get away from work a bit to be with his baby. Spending precious time with her, building memories, taking care of medically-related expenses has all been possible because of you.

Because Maleree’s parents live separately, both had individual online crowd funding.However, it was at the insistance of her Daddy that 50% of the restaurant give-backs and donation jar funds be given to her Mommy, Jodi Clement Seaholm, and Step-Dad Adam Seaholm. Donations from an out-of-town car show by her Daddy’s long-time friend was also split. We were pleased to be able to share your support with them.

Bear with me while I share something personal. My late husband and I have been eye-witness to countless times when this Dad met the needs of community members who needed car repairs but were unable to afford it. Friends and acquaintances have frequently had their bills paid. He would let his own bills go unpaid because he covered their financial needs, even in this current crises. He has also been quick to offer other types of support as well.

Here is a man who if you needed five dollars, would give you the last two dollars in his pocket and go borrow three – all without hesitation and without you ever knowing it. It is because of this observation and the fact that I am alive today because of his support & assistance, that I wholeheartedly began these fundraising campaigns despite his efforts to stop me.
