Update posted by Danna Daly- Thank You All, we reached our target to fund Jacks school trip!! He is due to finish State exams soon, and he will be so excited to know he can go on the trip to Poland! The deposit has been placed, and our payment due in 10 days is covered now because of your support!!! Thank you all!!
You may see that soon, I will increase the fundraising target and the finishing date! Don't be alarmed!! If you have donated, please know we are so appreciative!! Just to explain, Any further donations, will go to help us fund the adventure group building trips, the Choir exchange concert and a Life saving and Advanced First Aid Course, and extracurricular singing and drama courses. If anyone wanted to donate and didn't, obviously, donations are always welcome!! If you like to give another donation at anothr time, wonderful!! Transition Year is a year in Irish Secondary School that is about the transition from adolescence to adulthood. The focus is on experiential learning through work experience ( working in different career areas, on site), group projects and travel. It is a large expense, and travel is optional, however, we hope Jack may get the best benefit form his TY as possible! We are proud of Jack, he has already played the lead in the school musical, won the Bishop Chapel Choir Prize for Choir, the been the youngest member to be accepted into the Chamber Choir usually only open to 5th and 6th year students (he was invited to join in his second year) and he continues to do well academically and was awarded the Richards Form Prize for academic excellence on his 2nd year term exams. He has done this, as well as being very supportive to us during his dad's recovery. He is well mannered and kind. He loves to sleep too late into the mornings...:)
