Back Home After the First

Update posted by Angeline Cuizon

On June 24, after a month and a day Jacqueline Gatchalian Rojas-Bartolome was sent home from her first session of chemotherapy with some oral antibiotics for an acquired infection during the therapy. From the expensive and not-so-comfortable hospital bed/room of PGH (well there's no place like home ☺) she's finally home in Siniloan, Laguna reunited with her two missed-so-much kids, who are just accompanied by a 17-year old caregiver. I can just imagine her relief.πŸ˜ƒ

I admire this warrior for such a strong spirit. We, as her family have cried a lot but she told us... She doesn't cry anymore. When you talk over the phone her voice are as happy as a healthy individual! Her balding scalp doesn't bother her so much. Her daughter who is in her 11th grade said, "buhok lang yan mama!" Keep going sissy! We are just here! (Here in Zamboanga! Ay! Malayo pala!)πŸ˜•πŸ˜†

In her behalf, I, along with the other members of the πŸ‘¨πŸ‘©πŸ‘¦ family, heartily thank all those who gave their support of all kinds (you're so many to mention!)... Your prayers, assistance, visits, words of courage, blood donations, monetary contributions, and the like are well appreciated! There are some who chose to be anonymous! Her friends and colleagues in Mabitac are her ever loyal supporters! Thank you so much for doing a lot for her. It is so hurtful that I cannot do so much for her. Your works of generosity and kindness are not left unnoticed. God, the Almighty sees what you do and surely He is pleased and will bless you more! Thank you so much. Words are not enough to describe our gratefulness!

Moreover, next week, on the 29th of June she is again scheduled for another Bone Marrow Analysis. We are praying that the results will be better after the first therapy. It will determine her body's response to it and thus, the next session as well. We pray for her fast and complete recovery. Grant us that Oh Lord! Amen.

And so we continue to knock at your doors. There is yet more struggles to come. We stay calm, hopeful, prayerful, so much faith in our hearts!

To God be the glory!!!
