All thanks and praise is to God Almighty.

I want to say so much in this final note but I don’t know where to begin – I’m so overcome by emotion about what you have all done for me and my children. We could not contain our joy this morning when we saw that our target had been reached!

I think the first and most important thing is to say a huge ‘Thank you!’ to all of you for donating, for spreading the word, for providing moral support….. In particular, I want to thank the many people who have never met me – for whom I’m a complete stranger – but who still reached out with such generosity and kindness. Truly, I feel overwhelmed, humbled and blessed.

Thanks to your generosity, God Willing our home will be saved. I can’t tell you how much this means to me and to the children. I know a house is bricks and mortar, but for us it’s so very much more: it represents security, familiarity, memories of loved ones and happy times. Thanks to all of you, that dread and fear has been removed.

This sword has been hanging over us for so long – even now, I can’t believe it’s almost over and we can stay in our home. Thank you everyone for making this possible.

The second thing I want to stress is that you haven’t just saved our home: you’ve given my children the chance of a future. I pray that with the threat of eviction removed, they will be able to heal and deal with the trauma’s that they have suffered, that Jasmine has the comfort of her loved home in which to recouperate and recover from her illness. I hope now they concentrate on their studies and grow into responsible, caring people. I am determined to help them realize their full potential.

God willing they do well, I am equally determined that they ‘pay forward’ what has been done for them now, by being as generous and caring to others in need. Ultimately, I feel this is the best way I can repay everything you have done for us. I pray God gives us the opportunity in the future to provide the relief and ease to someone else that you have today provided for us.

May God bless you and reward you in this world and in the hereafter.
