I have received updates from Teddy's brother Edwin. Teddy was discharged after 11 days on Tue 22nd and is now an outpatient & able to use a wheelchair The good news is that his creatinine levels have been brought down from 950 to 60 in 5 sessions of dialysis. The acceptable level is 25.

The bad news is this text received from Edwin just this morning:

"We had our 5th dialysis yestrday at 4pm and the resident md having met Ted for the 1st time did some routine lab exam, since there was no chart to rely on. Upon results his hemoglobin showed dangerous levels. Ted has 60mg/ dl normal value is 140-180mg/dl. The md recomended 3 units of blood to be given on the 29th. As OPD patient he needs to replace 2 bags for every 1 needed. I need 6 donors aging 19-65 under no medication. No specific type, EAMC will accept any type as replacement for the one taken.

No alcohol for 25 hrs. Donors should go to EAMC donors room , ground floor near the lab. With gov issued id. State to whom they are donating sched is 9-4pm this sat, sun, mon. Tx"
