Hi all,

Apologies for the lack of news on my part - we experienced some unforeseen setbacks but we are now back on track! We were disappointed that it has not been possible to build the playroom Yangon Children's Hospital but we are delighted to tell you that we have secured a room at the Yankin Children's Hospital instead. The hospital is also in Yangon and is where our cousin now works as a paediatric surgeon. Works are now underway!!

Here are some photos of the room. I have asked for more photos of the works in progress so you can see the playroom taking shape.

27th December was the anniversary of mum's passing and Su and her family went back to Burma to commemorate the date with our extended family. They donated food parcels to 300 patients of Yangon Children's Hospital and their families. Apparently mum often used to do donations like that when she was home, which we didn't know! Thanks so much to our wonderful cousins for arranging it.

Thanks also to all of you for helping us to make the playroom a reality. I'm really pleased to be able to give you some news finally and look forward to sending more photos of the works underway.
