First off, thank you to everyone who has helped this fundraiser by spreading the news, donating, or helping with the book drive. It's a wonderful thing to see all the support for Vera, and it warms my heart.

Here's an update from Vera's dad:

Update on Vera's condition: She was discharged from the hospital yesterday. The doctors said she is showing improvements more than they expected, and just after 7 sessions of radiation therapy, she's consistently stable with positive signs that she's regaining her motor skills. We still have 21 sessions to go, so we're keeping the faith that it would lessen as she recovers.
